Villages

LIZNJAN
Liznjan was mentioned for the first time in the year 990 as a village villa called Liciniana or Licinianum. It had been named after the land owner called Licinius. If you are in love with the nature, sea, sailing and fishing, it's an ideal place for you and your family. Today it counts 2000 inhabitants, its coast spans along 27.6 km with numerous untouched and wild beaches..

SISAN
The settlement of Sisan was mentioned in 1149 for the first time. The groups of houses in the northern part of Sisan are probably placed on the ancient times remains as at the beginning of the century remains of ancient buildings were found there (archaeological finds of coins, roof bricks with a stamp). In some architectural traverses and attics there are ancient sculptures..

VALTURA
Valtura is, first of all, known for its rich cultural and historical heritage going back to the Roman times. The most valuable site Nezakcij is only 2 km far from Valtura and is a favourite destination of archaeologists. The Istrian inland unique beauty, the picturesque hills, exuberant vegetation, cycling and walking paths, all these are the beauties that Valtura offers.

MUNTIC
Muntic is a site with a rich past. There are archaeological finds of pre-historical pottery from the Bronze and Iron Age, and in the vineyards, a small rustic column capital has been found. In the 16th century, in 1585, Muntić was reconstructed again and populated with inhabitants from Kostanjica, and the parish was probably founded then as well.
